About Parker:
I trained at the International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP), founded by Dr. Patrick Carnes, as a sex addiction therapist (CSAT®). Let me ask you a few questions:
- Are you struggling with behaviors and relationship patterns that leave you feeling ashamed or regretful?
- Do you act out in ways that conflict with your vows or values?
- Do your relationships leave you unsatisfied?
- Do you care well for others and yet neglect self-care?
- Are these patterns confusing and painful?
- Do they wreak havoc on your relationships?
I specialize in helping individuals and couples identify the emotions and needs underneath these dysfunctional patterns. I help you learn to approach life differently. I believe that healing is available to any who desire it, if you are willing to accept the right support and put in the work.
My approach to therapy is well-suited to a wide range of issues. I strive to develop a therapeutic relationship built on trust that becomes a sort of “Intimacy Practice.” Here you learn to identify your emotional, physical, and spiritual needs. Then, take the risk of exploring and sharing, first in therapy and then in your other relationships. I tailor this process to meet your goals.
I received my MA from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando and my BA in Creative Writing: Fiction from Northwestern University. I am fascinated with people and with the world around me. I love good conversation, playing music, pick-up sports or board games with friends, wrestling my son, or reading out loud with my beautiful wife.
